Costa Rica: Pt 4 – Green Everywhere

We got up early. As we were getting ready, a knock on the door. It was a local worker of the accommodation with my lost GoPro in his hand. He was around when I dropped it in the waterfall. He spent the afternoon driving down to try and retrieve it. It is not working at the moment. There is moisture behind the screen, but you never know once it has dried out. But the value of the tripod and the SD card were worth the tip we have home for his efforts. I am also glad that it is not littering the bottom of the river bed.

We had our breakfast and packed the bike. When we noticed that it was a bit breezy and it was a cooling breeze so it was most welcome.

We did quite a bit of climbing some of them about 20%. They were quite manageable, there was just one really long one that we pushed for a little bit. We could not concentrate on the effort as we had four dogs barking around us. One of them ended up being a friendly chaperone up the hill and was rewarded with the only thing we had a couple of sweets. She was very skinny so I did not feel too bad about handing over a sugar treat.

Rachael deciding which is the correct route

We got a bit higher and you could see the green forest all around us.

Rachael admires the forest
Looks like volcanoes in the distance
More views of the volcanos
Stopping to take a breather and admire the river

We got to our accommodation which is a very quiet lodge. With some hammocks by a very quiet pool.

And relax
Happy and content
View on the other side of my bed for the afternoon

We had some food, which was very nice.

Ummm

Then went for a walk into the forest for a couple of hours.

We are in this position on our route. Where the blue dot is.

We are the blue dot going in a clockwise direction
Here you see we are heading to the coast

So tomorrow we will be in Bagaces and making our way to the coast.
